Diana Feinberg and Rancho PV Emergency Preparedness

Our guest this morning is Diana Feinberg. Diana is an active member of the Rancho Palos Verdes Emergency Preparedness Committee and President of the Palos Verdes Amateur Radio Club. She is also Chair of this year's Beach Cities Joint CERT Organization's ‘Great Shakeout' drill on October 13th. The drill scenario involves massive earthquake damage in a residential area of the city and secondary damage from a gas line explosion. Diana is also quite active in the Amateur Radio circuit and during a previous appearance on this show we spoke at length on how and why amateur radio can play such an important role in a disaster situation. Today, we're going to discuss the Beach Cities Joint CERT Organizations drill happening in Palos Verdes and the biggest event of the year for the California disaster preparedness community.
