Paul Sandhu: Genesis - Beginnings Part 10

Genesis is the book of Beginnings: it gives us an account of the beginning of the Universe, of man, of animal and plant life, and also of sin and death. It is the Alpha of the Bible just as the Book of Revelation is the Omega. Without a clear understanding of Genesis, especially the 1st three chapters, it is impossible to understand difficult topics such as the origins of life, of the existence of evil, and of death. Chapter 4 and chapter 5 are a record of the development of the pre-flood world, of the rise of cities and powerful rulers beginning with Cain; rulers who were considered heroes in the ancient world. In chapter 6 we encounter non-Adamic intelligent creatures inhabiting that world, creatures such as the giants(Nephilim) and the sons of God. Who were these creatures, were they really fallen angels or their offspring; can angels even have offspring? The answers to such controversial questions are hidden in the very first few chapters of Genesis. What were the real causes that forced God to send the flood that destroyed that ancient world leaving alive only 8 people to repopulate the earth. Why was the confounding (corrupting) of man's language at Babel the second most significant event in man's history, second only to the entrance of death in this world. This series will attempt to scripturally answer such difficult questions that man has pondered since the very beginning; the questions of our existence, of life and death, of good and evil. Be prepared to be challenged in your views on these important subjects. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction and this series will attempt to dispel the countless fictions that have been promoted for thousands of year concerning the process and the purpose of Creation.
