Rodney Saulsberry is one of the top voice-over talents in the country and bestselling author known for his voice work on commercials for Twix, Domino's Pizza and Zatarain's, his two books (You Can Bank on Your Voice, Step Up to the Mic) the voice of Joe Robbie Robertson on the animated TV series Spider-Man, and James Rhodey Rhodes in the animated feature film, The Invincible Iron Man. Currently, Rodney is the radio announcer/voice for the New Orleans Hornets Basketball Team. His voice over coaching talents are highly sought after. He travels occasionally all over the country teaching eager students how to do voice overs and hundreds of students throughout the years have traveled west to experience his workshops in Los Angeles. His voice over teleclasses over the telephone are also very popular. Talking is not the only way this crooner has used his instrument. Rodney lent his melodious baritone singing voice to a jubilant ensemble of background singers on a spirited recording of Hakuna Matata on The Lion King movie soundtrack. He continued his animation musical journey singing on two numbers from The Prince of Egypt soundtrack, When You Believe and Playing With The Big Boys. As a soloist, he has recorded two rhythm and blues albums that have produced two Billboard charting singles, I Wonder and Look Whatcha Done Now. In 2011, Saulsberry received an NAACP Image Award nomination in the category of Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series for his role on The Bold and the Beautiful. His Broadway credits include the musicals, Your Arms Too Short to Box With God and The First (The Jackie Robinson Story).
